I’m Indrani.

I’m a Mitigation Specialist representing people facing the death penalty. My whole life I was drawn towards criminal defense work. My work has taken me through the most complicated stories from all over the world, weaving together the multitude of layers that make an individual. 

I’m in a stage of my life where I want to diversify and learn something that takes me out of my comfort zone. I wanted to fuse the areas of law and tech and bring a tangible, indispensable skill to my day to day work.  I started to study Python, and I was not prepared to love the experience of it. The challenge, the logic, the processes. It forces my brain to tap into a part of it that I didn’t realise was dormant. I plan to expand to study a more complex programming course. What started out as a goal to bring tech into my field, has evolved into a hobby that consumes part of my life. 

Through this blog, I will share my thoughts on programming - how I’m finding the experience of learning something completely new, the challenges, the sacrifices, the mental obstacles and what keeps me going. I will also use this blog to share some musings on my own life and interests. 

I am excited to see where this new endeavor might take me. Wherever we end up, I’m happy to be on the journey today.
